DE4A Service Interoperability Solutions Toolbox
This toolbox is the central, long-term deliverable of the DE4A Architecture work package (WP2) and takes the form of a structured, online architecture repository that extends from the content of the Architecture Framework and prior work of e-SENS. The toolbox includes (pointers to) prior work in CEF, ISA, ISA2 and LSP (e.g.: TOOP, PEPPOL, STORK, STORK2) and aims to be comprehensive at the level of European technical interoperability. It includes new DE4A common components and implementation method and Pilot insights.
Pilots
DE4A includes three cross-border and cross-domain Pilots - Studying Abroad, Doing Business Abroad, and Moving Abroad -, comprising different functional use cases focused on different high-impact and viable administrative procedures, and aimed to realize tangible benefits in fully operational environments to real users (citizens, students, business persons and public servants). The Pilots are delivered by a separate, agile, multi-disciplinary, inter-member state teams of experts. The focus of these teams is on iterative system integration and configuration, hence on making existing building blocks and solutions work together in real life cases.
Reference Architecture
DE4A develops a multi-pattern architecture for eGovernment interoperability with a focus on digital-by default procedures for citizens and businesses and the full implementation of the Once-Only Principle. The DE4A Architecture Framework defines five architecture Time Horizons staring from the pre-SDG baseline (t=0, ~2019) and reaching to a long-term vision (t=4, ~2030+) in order to place different developments in context. More detail on the Architecture Framework is available in the public deliverable D2.1 Architecture Framework.
The first version of the Reference Architecture is developed with a clear focus on providing direction to the DE4A Pilots as part of the public deliverable D2.4 Project Start Architecture (PSA) - First Iteration. Most important inputs to the PSA are the Architecture Framework, the detailed requirements of the DE4A Pilots as expressed in the public deliverables D4.1, D4.5 and D4.9 and an analysis of the legal requirements of Article 14 of the Regulation (EU) 2018/1724 establishing a single digital gateway to provide access to information, to procedures and to assistance and problem-solving service.
